The focus of these pages is Beavers, the junior section of Scouts Canada.

Let me tell you about tall, green grasses
that hide proud prowling tigers,
and purple ponies,
and yellow daisies that lie tickly in chains around your neck.

Hold my hand, and I'll introduce you
to bean bag clowns with mop-string heads,
with paper-cup noses and spaghetti smiles,
and menageries of gauze butterflies,
and tin can cobras
and feather-tailed fireflies.

Come away with me on straw-whistle winds
to the land of goozles and whiffle whomps,
and I'll let you touch bright yellow drops of sun and pale washes of moon,
and stir your hands in mad rivers of purple elixir,
with whirlpools of winged witches,
and striped crocodiles.

Come, climb stars with me
and help me build great pirate ships,
and paint golden sky castles in sand,
and spin fairy tails of pink silk thread,
and I'll make you a rainbow.

This is Fun at the Pond stuff — a place where you might find a new program idea, and maybe a tail slapper or two. We're always looking for ideas. Usually, someone shares them with us, we copy someone else's great idea, or they come from the kids, books, or the web. If it's exciting or funny, you'll probably find it here.
