JOTT Crest

What is Jamboree On The Trail?

JOTT is a one day hiking (walking) event where participants world-wide are on the trail during the same day. It is a Do Your Own Thing event. Each "hike" is organized locally, at the group or section level, and tailored to match the capabilities and needs of those taking part. The only thing is that everyone participating, all over the world, would be "hiking" on the same date.

The walk could be ...

  • part of your programme, or a fund raising opportunity
  • an picnic stroll for your section, your group, your District
  • a twinned activity with another group
  • a nature walk for Beavers, an activity walk for Cubs, an challenge hike for Scouts, or rugged country trek for Ventures
  • a conservation project to clean up the local area
  • during an overnight campout

When is JOTT 2000?

Next year's happening will be on Saturday, May 12th on a trail near you.
